PRINGSEWU (UAP) – Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu (UAP) has once again demonstrated its commitment to enhancing academic quality by organizing a “Journal Management Assistance Program” on December 14, 2024. The event was held in the Smart Class Room, 3rd Floor of Building E at Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu, and attended by lecturers, researchers, and journal managers from various faculties.
The program aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of scientific journal management, covering editorial governance, article management, review processes, and publication in accordance with international standards. The goal is for UAP-managed journals to be included in reputable databases such as Sinta and Scopus.
The Rector of Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu, Wisnu Probo Wijayanto, S.Kep., Ners., MAN., represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Informatics, Dr. Ir. Zulkifli, S.T., M.Kom., expressed gratitude for the presence of the Head of the Journal and Scientific Publication Working Group from the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service, Yoga Dwi Arianda, S.T.
He emphasized the importance of scientific journals as platforms for publishing research findings by lecturers and students. “Proper journal management not only enhances the university’s reputation but also fosters the development of knowledge and innovations beneficial to society,” he said.
The program featured Yoga Dwi Arianda, S.T., the Head of the Journal and Scientific Publication Working Group from the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service, as a speaker. He delivered material on strategies to improve article quality, the use of journal management software such as Open Journal Systems (OJS), and the importance of upholding publication ethics.
Participants appreciated the assistance program for providing practical insights that were highly beneficial. “This program helps us understand concrete steps to improve journal management quality to meet international standards.”
At the end of the event, Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu announced plans to hold follow-up programs, including intensive workshops on scientific article writing. Through these efforts, UAP is optimistic about becoming a leading center for scientific journal management at both national and international levels.
With this program, Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu continues to demonstrate its dedication to advancing education, research, and scientific publication.
