SOUTH SUMATERA (UAP) – The Regional Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region II organized a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) session on Quality, Academic, and Resource Information Services (LIMAS) and Lecturer Career Development on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The event, held at the Aston Palembang Hotel, was attended by university leaders, HR administrators, and civil servant lecturers assigned to private universities (PNS Dpk) from various higher education institutions in South Sumatra.
The Bimtek aimed to enhance lecturers’ competence in utilizing the LIMAS application, a platform that provides transparent information regarding university quality, academics, and resources. Through this application, lecturers are expected to better understand available educational services and contribute to improving the quality of higher education in the region.
The event featured three speakers: Dr. Ir. Zulkifli, S.T., M.Kom., Agustinus Eko Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., and Ferly Ardhy, S.Kom., M.T.I., from Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu. Notably, Dr. Zulkifli and Agustinus Eko Setiawan are members of the IT Development Team at LLDIKTI Region II. The speakers, all experts in academic information system development, shared their knowledge on utilizing the LIMAS platform.
The event was officially opened by Fansuri Dwi Putra, S.E., M.Si., Head of Administrative Affairs at LLDIKTI Region II, representing the Head of LLDIKTI Region II, Prof. Dr. Iskhaq Iskandar, M.Sc., and accompanied by Irsan Aras, S.T., M.Kom., Head of Information Systems at LLDIKTI Region II.
In addition to focusing on improving academic services, the event also aimed to provide career development guidance for lecturers, encouraging them to continually enhance their professionalism and contribute more significantly to the advancement of higher education in Indonesia.
The event was formally closed by the Head of LLDIKTI Region II, Prof. Dr. Iskhaq Iskandar, M.Sc., who expressed hope that similar activities would continue to support the progress of universities in South Sumatra. (*na)
